The Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training and the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority celebrated the graduation of 24 female emiratis from the "Empower Emiratis for Employment" programs, through which citizens are trained to work in the retail, insurance, tourism, and hospitality sectors.

The ceremony, which was held via virtual communication technology, was attended by His Excellency Eng. These programs come within the framework of the agreement concluded by the Center and the Authority, which stipulates carrying out the ACTVET program to provide the training and educational services necessary to qualify certain categories of people determined by the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority, to give them the skills necessary and equip them to find jobs and rewards in the aforementioned fields.

His Excellency Eng. Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri said that the quality of outputs in ACTVET is reliable due to the distinguished cooperation with the Center, its great history and its acclaimed outputs in the labor market. He stressed his keenness to continue to work with the Center.

He added: "We thank the senior management of the ACTVET and the Center’s work team for their full support since the planning of these programs began, then during the implementation stages leading up to today’s celebrations of these successful outputs."

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi said that these programs come within the framework of ACTVET’s interest in enhancing cooperation between institutions to implement the necessary programs to prepare and qualify young national cadres with various skills that contribute to self-development, enabling them to acquire the standard needed to contribute to the Emirate’s comprehensive development goals.

He highlighted the Center’s keenness to provide the labor market with human cadres capable of building a diversified and sustainable economy, expressing his appreciation for the distinguished role played by the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority in cooperation with ACTVET to train and empower citizens using scientific and practical programs that prepare them for the future and allow them to engage in the various disciplines required in the job market.

He explained that the programs give its members the opportunity to complete their vocational studies and then obtain accredited certificates from the National Qualifications Centre, which reinforces the concept of "continuous learning" that the Center strives to achieve on a permanent basis. He noted that the first phase of these programs is implemented by specialized institutions in ACTVET. During this stage, the focus is on offering high-quality content to provide young people with a selection of skills that will enable them to join the ACTVET program for retail trade, which grants graduates a diploma accredited by the National Qualifications Centre.

His Excellency Abdulla Humaid Al Ameri said: "The graduation of this first batch comes within the framework of the integration of roles and the interdependence of government efforts with the aim of empowering young national cadres." He praised the role played by ACTVET in providing professional and practical training programs to enhance the readiness of beneficiaries and build their capabilities, so as to increase their positive participation in society and help them to achieve financial independence.

He explained that a new group of beneficiaries were set for inclusion in the next stages of ACTVET programs, comprising English language, business management skills, customer happiness services, and retail.
